Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026. This policy explains how Lucky Duck Cleaning handles your information.

Who we are

Lucky Duck Cleaning is a trading name of Island Promotional Products Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company no. 13331129; registered office: 17 Green Lanes, London, England, N16 9BS). You can reach us at hello@luckyduckcleaning.co.uk.

What we collect

When you ask for a quote or contact us: your name, phone number, email address, the address and postcode of the property to be cleaned, and, for a business, your company name, your position and the company’s address. We also collect what you tell us about the cleaning you need: the services and how often, details of the property (such as its type and number of rooms) and of the items to be cleaned, access arrangements, pets, parking, dates and times that suit you, how you heard about us, any photos you choose to upload, and anything else you write to us.
When you book and pay: the dates and details of your cleans, and a record of your payments (the amount, the date and how you paid).
When you browse (only if you accept cookies): anonymous usage data such as pages visited and device type, through Google Analytics.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and provide our cleaning services. Analytics helps us understand and improve the website. Our lawful bases are the steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract (such as preparing your quote), performing our contract with you, your consent (for analytics cookies) and our legitimate interest in running the business.

How it’s handled

When you send our quote form, our website emails your details and photos straight to our own inbox. Our website and email are hosted by Hostinger, and the website itself doesn’t keep a copy. We never sell your data. Card payments are processed securely by Revolut, under its own privacy notice; we never see or store your card details. Analytics is provided by Google and only runs if you accept cookies.

Emails to businesses

We sometimes email estate and letting agents to tell them about our cleaning services. We only email limited companies, limited liability partnerships and PLCs, at a business email address they publish themselves, such as on their own website or in a public business directory. For each agency we keep its name, address, phone number, website and email address, its details at Companies House, where and when we found them, and a record of our emails and any replies. If you work for an agency we emailed and we hold your own work email address, this applies to you.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in telling businesses about services relevant to their work. You can object at any time: reply “unsubscribe” to any of our emails or write to hello@luckyduckcleaning.co.uk, and we’ll stop straight away. We then keep only the email address, on a do-not-contact list, so that we never email it again. If an agency doesn’t become a customer, we delete its details 12 months after we were last in touch.

Cookies

Our site sets no tracking cookies unless you accept them. If you accept, Google Analytics places cookies to measure site usage. You can decline, or clear cookies in your browser at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your request and for reasonable business records, then delete them. Records of bookings and payments are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — just email hello@luckyduckcleaning.co.uk. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 October 2026. These terms apply to cleaning services provided by Lucky Duck Cleaning.

1. Who we are

2. Quotes & bookings

Quotes are free and based on the information you provide; the final price may change if the job is larger or different from what was described. A booking is confirmed once we agree a date, time and price with you.

3. Pricing & payment

We accept payment by bank transfer, card or cash. For larger or one-off jobs — such as end of tenancy, deep cleans or larger commercial work — we may ask for a deposit of up to 50% of the price to confirm the booking; the amount is shown on your quote, with the balance due on completion. The deposit is due within 24 hours of booking; if it isn’t paid by then, we may release the date. If you are a home customer and cancel within your 14-day cancellation period, your deposit will be refunded as explained in section 4. For regular cleans, payment is due on completion. Regular and commercial clients may be invoiced by agreement, and late payments may incur a reasonable charge.

4. Your right to cancel (home customers)

If you book as a private customer rather than a business — by phone, WhatsApp, email, through our website or during a home visit — you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the day we agree your booking, without giving any reason.

To cancel, just tell us clearly before the 14 days are up, by email at hello@luckyduckcleaning.co.uk, or by phone or WhatsApp on 07785 753065. You can use the model cancellation form below, but you don’t have to.

If you cancel within the 14 days, we will refund any payment or deposit you have made, with no cancellation fee, within 14 days of hearing from you, using the same payment method you used.

If you would like your clean to take place before the 14 days are up, we will ask you to confirm this in writing, for example by WhatsApp or email. If you then cancel after we have started, you will only pay for the work already carried out. Once we have fully completed your clean at your request, you can no longer cancel it.

Model cancellation form. To: Lucky Duck Cleaning, a trading name of Island Promotional Products Ltd, 17 Green Lanes, London, England, N16 9BS, hello@luckyduckcleaning.co.uk. I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following cleaning service: [service]. Booked on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Address: [your address]. Signature (only if this form is sent on paper): [signature]. Date: [date].

5. Rescheduling, late cancellations & access

Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. If you need to cancel, we’re always happy to move your booking to another date instead, free of charge, and any deposit you’ve paid will count towards the new date.

For business customers, and for home bookings once the 14-day cancellation period in section 4 has ended, if you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or we can’t get into the property at the agreed time, we may keep your deposit or, if you haven’t paid one, charge up to 50% of the price of that visit. This covers the work we turned away for that time.

Please ensure we have safe access and let us know about pets, alarms or parking.

6. Products & equipment

We normally bring our own products and equipment. If you would prefer us to use your own supplies, please let us know when booking.

7. Our service & your satisfaction

We take pride in our work and are fully insured. If you are not happy with any part of a clean, tell us within 48 hours and we will return to put it right at no extra cost. For end of tenancy cleans, the re-clean guarantee covers the items on our end of tenancy checklist and applies only if the property has not been lived in, used or had any work carried out since our clean. Please send us the landlord’s or agent’s check-out report, or photos of the areas flagged.

8. Liability

We hold public liability insurance. Please tell us in advance about fragile, valuable or sentimental items so we can take extra care or avoid them. If anything is damaged during a clean, please let us know as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours, so we can look into it quickly. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, general wear and tear, or faults not caused by us. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

9. Health & safety

We follow safe working practices and handle cleaning products responsibly. We may decline any task we consider unsafe.

10. Complaints

If something is not right, please contact us at hello@luckyduckcleaning.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it quickly.

11. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version will always appear on this website. These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales.
